When Someone Dies
When someone dies, it can feel overwhelming and confusing, and you may not know what needs to happen first. Please know you don’t have to go through it alone.
I will gently guide you through each step, explain what needs to happen and help take care of everything for you. You don't need to have all the answers or make every decision straight away.
If you need me at any time, I am here for you.

Registering the Death
Once the death has been medically confirmed, it must be registered at the local register office.
This is usually done within a few days and will result in the official death certificate being issued. You will need this to begin funeral arrangements.
In most cases, the hospital or GP will explain how this works, but if you are unsure, I can also help guide you through the process so you know exactly what to expect.

What happens next?
Once the initial steps have been taken, you can contact me whenever you feel ready. I can talk you through what happens next and start making the arrangements with you, at you own pace.
There is no need to have everything decided before you get in touch. Or, if you need help at any point before then,
I am here for you.
